Bruce is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Feather Sound Country Club. He is a member of the Copperhead Club of the Innisbrook PGA Tour Event. He is also a Member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association, and is a Graduate of both Leadership Pinellas and Leadership Tampa Bay.

He and his wife, Lisa, live in Safety Harbor with their two children.

Bruce received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Bio-Chemistry from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of South Florida. He spent his first eight years in public accounting with KPMG LLP in their Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater offices. He has extensive experience with all aspects of audit, review, compilation, and business advisory services. In particular, he has significant experience with SEC reporting and initial public offerings. Bruce has also taught various training courses and directed office personnel recruiting efforts.

His relevant industry experience includes extensive work with manufacturing, distribution, retailing, and health care clients, as well as working with several restaurant groups.
