Firm Background

The founding shareholders of KRMT all began their professional careers with international accounting firms known in the industry as the “Big Four”. As their respective careers progressed, they each noticed the trend in the local practices of the international firms to only work with “mega” clients in the Florida marketplace. This strategic direction was in direct conflict with the personal philosophy of each founding shareholder of working closely with their clients to provide assurance, tax and consulting services, as well as seeking to develop long-term personal working relationships. As a result of their desire to combine the background, training and experiences of a larger firm with the personal service and attention of a smaller firm, KRMT was formed.

KRMT Today

Since its inception in 1991, KRMT has been providing exceptional assurance, tax and advisory services to its clients. Our growth and success during these years is affirmation that opportunities exist for local CPA firms who are committed to staying abreast of the latest financial developments and who seek to foster long-term relationships with their clients. Over the years, our practice has been divided evenly, in terms of both personnel and revenue, between the assurance and tax disciplines. Recently, however, these core services have been complemented through the addition of resources that now allows us to provide services to our clients in the areas of litigation support, forensic accounting, business valuation and the not-for-profit/governmental arenas.

KRMT team members currently serve clients throughout the United States from our centrally located office in the Carillon/Feather Sound area of Tampa Bay. The most recent edition of the “Book of Lists” compiled by the Tampa Bay Business Journal includes KRMT as the largest CPA firm based in Tampa, St. Petersburg or Clearwater.

From its founding through today, KRMT has been able to retain its unique culture of caring which allows the firm to maintain its solid commitment to its clients, team members and community each and every day.
